Mere change is not growth. Growth is the synthesis of
change and continuity, and where there is no
continuity, there is no growth. -C.S. Lewis

Current Liturgical Color: Green
(Pentecost through All Saints Day)
The Season after Pentecost is the longest season of the
church year and can be also be known as ’the season of the
church’ or ‘ordinary time’. Yet, this time truly is
extraordinary, because we gather to proclaim God’s
power in the life-giving Holy Spirit. Therefore, it is a time
that is focused upon growing in faith and our
Christian mission in the world. The color for this season
represents growth.

Our Mission Statement

The Feather River Cooperative Parish unconditionally welcomes all people, no matter where they are on their faith journeys. As congregations rooted in scripture; tradition; experience; and reason, we promise opportunities to grow in the Spirit and to become an active follower of Jesus Christ. Wherever you are in your relationship with God, if you desire to become more excited about your faith, simply walk through our doors - become a part of our happy family.

The basic beliefs of the United Methodist Church include:

Triune God. That God is one god in three entities: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Scripture. That the writings in the Old Testament and in the New Testament are the inspired words of God.

Sacraments. That two sacraments are recognized: Baptism and Holy Communion. We generally practice infant baptism and we recognize baptisms from other denominations. We practice open Communion.

Inclusivity. That people of all races, cultures, ages, and orientations will be included and welcomed.

Free Will. That all people, though corrupted by sin, are free to make their own choices because of God's divine grace.

Grace. That God gives unmerited favor freely to all people, though it may be resisted.
